CAL POLY CATALOG
 

The Cal Poly Catalog contains the offical regulations and approved curricula and courses, as well as academic policies, descriptive materials about the campus, its colleges and departments. The catalog is published biennially in the Spring and becomes effective with the Summer Quarter.

Unless changed by appropriate administrative action, courses are taught only as described in the Catalog and requirements for graduation in each of the curricula are those published therein.

Catalog Publication, Distribution and Sale

The Academic Programs Office is responsible for the publication and distribution of the Cal Poly Catalog. Complimentary copies are distributed to Cal Poly faculty and administrative staff, California Communiy Colleges, CSU and UC campuses and public libraries in Calfiornia.

The Cal Poly Catalog is placed on sale to the students and the public through El Corral Bookstore.

 

Catalog Directory
  • The catalog directory of faculty and staff is a listing of the tenured and probationary professional personnel of the university and its auxiliary organizations who are employed half time or more.
  • Individuals on temporary or limited term appointments (temporary leave replacements, lecturers, etc.) will not be listed in the catalog directory unless their appointments as future tenured or probationary employees have been documented prior to press time.
  • A brief biography citing academic degrees will be included.
    Staff in the above mentioned classifications must also have earned a minimum of a bachelor's degree to be listed in the directory.
  • Degrees earned are shown without the specific subject area.
  • The directory does not include A.A. or A.S. degrees.
  • The name of the institution granting the degree should be the name at the time the degree was granted and it must be a regionally accredited institution.
  • Professional licenses and certifications held by faculty and staff may be included (e.g., Registered Professional Engineer, California).
