A team from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) was on campus April 3-5 as one of the final steps in our Educational Effectiveness Review (EER). At a public exit interview, the Visiting Team Chair, Dr. Sam Smith, said the team anticipates submitting a positive report to the WASC Commission. The Commission will meet June 14 to determine the status of Cal Poly’s reaccreditation. More on WASC reaffirmation of accreditation.
SB 1440 established requirements for the “associate degree for transfer” to be awarded by community colleges and honored by the CSU. The requirements consist of a transfer model curriculum for certain degrees. More on the transfer model curriculum.
Of those programs beginning review in Fall 2010, 17 have completed their self-studies and site visits, and six have developed action plans. Five programs who began the process in Fall 2011 have site visits planned for winter quarter. More on program review.
