Honors Undergraduate Research Program
Students presenting their research
The Honors Program is happy to announce the beginning of our third cycle of the Honors Undergraduate Research Program. We requested research proposals from faculty members across campus. Honors students will then select from these projects in the next few weeks. We hope to support approximately 20 projects again this year.
Last year’s Honors Undergraduate Research Program was a big success. We would like to thank the following Deans for providing funds for last year’s program. Without their ongoing support this program would not be possible.
- Susan Opava, Dean of Research and Graduate Programs
- Mohammad Noori, Dean of the College of Engineering
- Phil Bailey, Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics
- David Wehner, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences
- Linda Halisky, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts
We would also like to thank faculty members and honors students who participated in last year’s program. Examples of these projects are available online. We are also happy to announce the publication of the first volume of the Honors Research Journal, which highlights a sampling of the research projects initiated in the 2006-2007 academic year.
