Children in grades 4 through 6 who participated in the Blacks in Ag Career Day, October 2000 received hands-on experience in some of the exciting career areas in agriculture including animal husbandry and environmental horticulture. The children interacted with Cal Poly Agriculture faculty and students in various activities including taking home plants to care for that they potted. Recently Donna Davis Coordinator of Retention & Outreach sent a questionnaire to the participants asking for pictures and information on their plants' growth. Pictured are two of the participants' plants and responses to the questionnaire.
