- Clarification of USCP criteria in terms of DLOs (curriculum) & DLOs (student learning objectives)
- Adding the DLOs as a criteria
- USCP Criteria #5 USCP courses must address the Diversity Learning Objectives - Modify DLO 3 to align with USCP Critical Thinking criteria
- Add Make reasoned decisions to Consider perspectives of diverse groups when making decisions - What is the range of addressing the DLOs in current USCP courses?
3. Implementation Issues to Consider
- There is an overarching issue on campus to create a general road map on course renewal. (Major courses, GEGB, USCP)
- How long can a course be on the books before review?
- Currently, there is no oversight of the USCP requirement
- How would the courses break down into areas of implementation?
- When would implementation begin?
- Could process review be broken up into years?
- Course modification vs. course proposal
- Should we look at the syllabi before looking at the proposal?
- Can we utilize a course renewal/course update process with a different type of form?
- We do not want to make the process a burden to faculty.
