  • Provide access to General Education PolyLearn site for USCP task force
  • Place USCP classes in a separate file on General Education PolyLearn 
  • Set up One Drive Account for USCP Task Force 
  • Review USCP Senate Resolutions and post on One Drive 
  • Review USCP enrollment information for the last five years 
  • Research, compare contrast USCP criteria with DLOs
  • ​Investigate what other CSU campuses are doing in terms of requirements (Katie has hard copies of CSU campuses)

Discussion/Questions

  • In the fall 2015, the group looked at the USCP criteria and the new DLOs.
  • ​The DLO's were instituted in 2008​. Following the DLOs, there was a senate resolution to update the criteria in USCP courses.
  • Discussion on DLOs: broad, local, national, global, looking at launching a global curriculum
  • What are the curriculum issues that will arise in the process of converting criteria?
  • Will current USCP courses be grandfathered in or will they need to go through a course renewal process?
  • Do the objectives and the criteria for the USCP courses need to be revised?
  • Discussion of United States Diversity - it extends to the international, and times in history; Discussion of U.S contemporay issues have a broader international sense.
  • How can this issue be navigated?
  • What departments want to offer USCP courses?  
  • How can the group break down into groups to get things done?
  • How can we examine the current documents? (housed in GE/Office of Registrar)
  • What can we accomplish?  Should we examine existing documents.
  • We need to investigate what other campuses are doing
  • What are the four questions that Denise asked?
